According to a report on retail sales of consumer goods and services in April and the first 4 months of 2023 released by the General Statistics Office of Viet Nam, the national revenue of accommodation and catering services in the first 4 months of 2023 was estimated at VND214.8 trillion, up 25.8% over the same period last year. Da Nang increased at the fastest pace with 73.5%, followed by Quang Ninh with 43.1% and Can Tho with 42.4%.

Viet Nam’s tourism revenue in the first 4 months of 2023 was estimated at VND 9.1 trillion, 2.1 times higher than the same period last year. Da Nang is the locality with the largest increase in tourism revenue, double 6.3 times, followed by Hai Phong with 3.2 times and Ha Noi with 3 times.

The national revenue of other services in the 4-month review period was estimated at VND 202 trillion, up 16.5% over the same period last year. Da Nang increased the fastest with 56.9%, followed by Gia Lai province, 33.6% and Vinh Phuc up 26.2%.

The retail sales of goods in the first 4 months of 2023 reached VND 1,581 trillion. Da Nang is named among Vietnamese localities with highest retail sales growth over the same period, at 7.2%.
