On Thursday, the Hoa Vang District People’s Committee and the University of Economics under the University of Da Nang signed a cooperation agreement on building new-styled rural areas during the 2023-2025 period.

Leaders of the Hoa Vang District People’s Committee and the University of Economics signed a cooperation agreement on building new-styled rural areas during the 2023-2025 period.

Under the deal, the University of Economics will support Hoa Vang District to organise training courses on enhancing IT-related knowledge and skills, and digital transformation applications; provide accounting training courses for local cooperatives’ accountants; improve knowledge about e-commerce, brand promotion and cashless payment methods among OCOP subjects; and offer other training courses according to local needs.

In the long term, the University of Economics will cooperate with the district government to develop a project to support mountainous and Co Tu pupils to have the opportunity to become students of the university as they study in junior high schools.

Meanwhile, the district government facilitates delegations of officials, lecturers and students of the University of Economics to approach field surveys; study and exchange experience on socio-economic development models in rural areas; and develop hunger eradication and poverty reduction policies for ethnic minority groups.

Every 6 months, the two sides will review the implementation of the cooperation agreement as well as agree on the plan for the next 6 months.
