The Vietbuild Da Nang International Exhibition 2023 officially opened on Wednesday morning at the city’s Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh emphasised that, with the determination to create motivation and breakthroughs for the socio-economic development, over the past time, the central government has given timely and drastic directions on building and perfecting the legal system, accelerating administrative reform, and ironing out difficulties and obstacles involved in socio-economic development issues, especially in the real estate market.

In particularly, the Prime Minister has given a nod for a project on building at least 1 million apartments of social housing for workers and low-income earners by 2030.

The Prime Minister has also directed the State Bank of Viet Nam to deploy a credit package of about VND120,000 billion to facilitate investors and home buyers to enjoy an interest rate 1.5% and 2% pa lower than normal for medium and long-term loans of commercial banks.

The Prime Minister's interdisciplinary working group has actively worked and coordinated with localities to review difficulties and obstacles in real estate projects in order to propose specific solutions to solve problems. Up to now, the legal obstacles for real estate projects have been initially removed.

“It can be said that this will be a very favourable condition and opportunity for businesses operating in the fields of real estate, construction, building materials, interior and exterior decoration to recover and promote business activities" Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh emphasised.

This year’s exhibition features about 1,000 pavilions introducing and displaying new products, advanced technologies and famous brands from more than 300 businesses nationwide. They are involved in the fields of construction, building materials, real estate, interior and exterior decoration, trade promotion, and technology transfer.

Notably, new products and new services of the construction industry with new, innovative and environmentally friendly features are being introduced at the event.

Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Quang Nam said that Da Nang has been focusing on removing difficulties, unleashing resources, attracting investment, maintaining economic growth, creating conditions for the highest completion of socio-economic targets, comprehensively developing the economic and cultural fields, ensuring social security, and improving the people's material and spiritual life.

At the same time, special attention has been on enhancing the investment and business environment, as well as implementing plans to recover the economic sectors that make great and spearhead contributions to the city's strengths, including industry, construction and real estate.

The city has continued to upgrade, embellish and rebuild urban areas, degraded residential areas and apartment buildings, social housing, and drainage projects; as well as develop flood maps and inundation warning system, and effectively implement the project on building Da Nang into an environmentally friendly city in the 2021-2030 period.

The Vietbuild Danang Exhibition 2023 provides the good opportunity for businesses nationwide to introduce their potential, strengths, and new products and achievements in the process of development and integration to the people of Da Nang, and international friends and investment partners.

It is a chance to boost trade promotion, investment cooperation and technology transfer between organisations and individuals at home and abroad, as well as promote investment development and market expansion in Da Nang, and Central Viet Nam as a whole.
