Promoting regional connection for quality products
The linkage of raw material providers for processing and consuming products, especially OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products, not only enhances product value, but also helps businesses position their brands and increase their competitiveness in the market.
According to Mrs. Mai Thi Y Nhi, Director of the My Phuong Food Co., Ltd (on the left), the linkage between raw material areas helps to raise the value of products and create new products. |
The My Phuong Food Co., Ltd based in Hoa Son Commune, Hoa Vang District, has distributed its 5-star OCOP products to 63 provinces and cities across the country, and exported them to five foreign countries.
According to Mrs. Mai Thi Y Nhi, Director of the My Phuong Food Co., Ltd., one of the factors that help her facility’s products win the trust of consumers is the clear and safety origin of raw materials.
Besides the main raw material of coconut sourced from Binh Dinh Province, the enterprise cooperates with farmers in Hoa Vang District to grow and harvest peanuts and sesame to produce baked coconut cakes.

"This is the first time that the company has linked with another locality to create a unique and novel product line, suitable for the taste of consumers. In the future, we will research and develop more products from local materials and link with other OCOP products of Viet Nam" Mrs. Nhi said.

Mr. Pham Dinh Ngai, the CEO and Founder of the Tra Vinh Farm, said OCOP production facilities mostly focused on developing products and brands by using local raw materials. Linking raw material sources with other OCOP products of other localities for deep processing will contribute to creating unique and new products, and bringing better economic efficiency.
He highlighted the significance of cooperating with Da Nang's OCOP production facility in not only creating output for coconut farmers in Tra Vinh Province, but also improving economic efficiency, and linking production with consumption in a closed and sustainable value chain. This will help bring consumers clean, safe and quality products.
