At a meeting on Thursday, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ngo Thi Kim Yen said that the 2018 - 2023 term is a challenging term for the Da Nang Tourism Transport Association as the tourism industry was heavily affected by COVID-19 for more than 2 years.

In that context, member businesses of the Da Nang Tourism Transport Association still have still paid attention towards those vulnerable situations affected by the pandemic Leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee highly appreciated the initiative and bravery of the business community in the transportation industry. Many transport businesses have restarted business activities and achieved many encouraging results.

Thereby, it is expected that tourism transport businesses will apply technologies to transportation activities, create the best experience for passengers, maximise operating costs, and step by step make more breakthroughs in revenue.

The municipal government hopes that the branch will research and act as a focal point to organise tourist transport activities in order to maximize the efficient exploitation of passenger vehicles and meet travel demand.

Vice Chairman Yen also believed that with bravery and wisdom, entrepreneurs will overcome all challenges, find opportunities in danger, and gradually make more development strides.

At the congress, Chairman of the Viet Nam Tourism Association Vu The Binh highly appreciated the activities of Da Nang tourism industry, adding that transportation is an important stage in tourism activities.

Given this fact, so as for transport to be more innovative and efficient in the coming time, the application of technologies and digital transformation in tourism is very necessary.

According to a recent report, activities of the Da Nang Tourism Transport Association for the 2018 - 2023 term have created many practical, healthy, and cohesive movements among transport units to promote mutual exchanges and support.

Currently, Da Nang houses about 666 businesses specialising in transporting tourists by coach. More than 3,760 cars are granted with tourist transport badges, 554 of which  have over 30 seaters.

Mr. Le Quang Vinh, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang Transport Association, said that in the 2023 - 2026 term, his unit will strengthen the organisational structure, perfect the operation regulations, develop human resources, improve the quality of services, especially tourism transport associated with local tourist routes, contributing to the city's development goals.
