Visiting the booth displaying OCOP products at the Han Market, Ms. Tran Thi Mai, a tourist from the capital city of Ha Noi, said that OCOP products, regional specialties are always the first choice her family make every time. Because these are products of origin, their quality are tested for safety and their prices are clearly listed

"I feel secure when choosing to buy OCOP products as gifts, so I hope that Da Nang will have more sales points for tourists to conveniently find and choose their favourite items”, said Mai. After more than a month of operation, a point selling typical products sourced from Hai Chau District at 112 Bach Dang has gradually become a connection point between producers and customers.

According to Ms. Dinh Thi Que, the Head of Hai Chau District Economic Office, the development and formation of OCOP product display and introduction points is a very necessary distribution and promotion channel to introduce consumers to good-quality local characteristics, thereby creating favourable conditions for OCOP establishments and subjects to gradually build their brands and raise the value of their products.

On the other hand, it is an effective way supporting businesses to overcome difficulties and gradually restore the situation of production and business after COVID-19, contributing to the effective implementation of the campaign ‘Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods’.

In Ngu Hanh Son District, the district has till date set up 2 points to introduce, sell and promote OCOP, typical rural industrial products at the Non Nuoc Market and the Hoa Quy Agricultural Production Service Cooperative No.1 on Luu Quang Vu Street.

Accordingly, in mid-April-2023, the Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee opened a point to display and introduce OCOP products, typical rural industry at 1 Hoa Quy Agricultural Service Cooperative.

A variety of OCOP products of subjects in the district and the city as a whole are displayed on a total area of about 25m2. Mai Sieng, the Deputy Director of the cooperative said that the display and promotion of OCOP products not only contributes to widely introducing to people and visitors safe and quality products but also enhance the operational efficiency of the cooperative.

Currently, products at the showroom are mostly sold online via e-commerce platforms. The cooperative hopes that the consumption of products will be stronger so that the producers can feel secure when sending goods at the display point for sale.

According to Mr. Mai Nien, Vice Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee, in the coming time, the district will continue to promote the development of many OCOP products that are local strengths, create conditions for many businesses and establishments to participate in promoting and promoting the consumption market.

On the other hand, after the upgrade of Bac My An Market is completed, the district will form a point to display and introduce OCOP products in the market and orient the development of OCOP exhibition centre in An Thuong tourist area in the future.

According to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, over the past time, the department has directed relevant units to put into operation points to sell Vietnamese and OCOP products at the Han Market, coordinated with Da Nang DHTC Joint Stock Company to deploy a cluster of OCOP product stalls, typically at Son Tra Night Market in An Hai Tay Ward.

Also, more OCOP product selling points will be set up at the Bien Dong (East Sea) Park, markets, supermarkets and tourist attractions.
