The event provides opportunities for Vietnamese logistics and export companies to meet and exchange experiences with world partners in the development of logistics services in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
On this occasion, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) conference for logistics service providers will take place.
The above-mentioned events are expected to have the participation of representatives of 50 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region with nearly 300 international logistics enterprises, opening up chances for setting up connections between Viet Nam and countries around the world in fields such as aviation, catering, hospitality and tourism.
At the conference, FIATA leaders and participating businesses will discuss important issues such as developing digital freight forwarders; turning Viet Nam into a new transport and logistics centre of Asia; speeding up cross-border transport and the East-West Economic Corridor.
At the AFFA's mid-year meeting, delegates discussed topics on trade facilitation for cross-border transport; training human resources in the logistics industry; sustainable development and digital transformation in the logistics industry.
According to a VLA representative, during and after this event, there is good prospect of the conclusion of cooperative agreements between Vietnamese companies and members of logistics associations in the region and the world.
A business-to-business (B2B) programme will be held within the framework of the conference, enabling Vietnamese companies to directly contact foreign partners, and increase exports to international markets.
According to VLA, the above-mentioned series of events is an opportunity for Viet Nam's logistics and export enterprises to exchange cooperation opportunities and learn from the world's experience in developing logistics services, opening up new opportunities to increase imports and exports and improve their competitiveness.
