The new traffic projects are the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway, and the upgrade of a section of the National Highway 14B running through Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District.

These are two of the city’s key dynamic projects that will start construction in 2023 and be completed and put into use in 2025.

As part of the The Ho Chi Minh Road project, the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section has a total length of about 11.5 km. The expected starting point is at a location adjacent to the Hoa Lien intersection in the namesake commune and the ending point is adjacent to the Tuy Loan intersection in Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District.

The main part of the project is built according to highway standards, with a design speed of 80 km/h, with a 4-lane divergent scale, a 22m-wide roadbed of 22m. Preliminary total project investment is around VND 2,113 billion funded by the State budget.

In which, more than VND951 billion VND will be used for compensation and resettlement work, whilst the construction cost will be over VND 942 billion.

It is expected that VND4.6 billion, VND678 billion, VND906 billion and more than VND565.5 billion will be allocated in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 respectively for the implementation of the project.

Meanwhile, the project on upgrading a section of the National Highway 14B that runs through Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District during the 2022 – 2025 period is estimated to cost VND800 billion funded by the national and municipal budgets.

As planned, the section running through Hoa Vang District, with a total length of about 7.5 km, will be upgraded according to the scale of the 6-lane urban trunk road with a design speed of 80km/h, and a roadbed width of 34m.

The starting point of the project is at Km24+633 at the Tuy Loan intersection, also known as the beginning point of the Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway, whilst its ending point is at Km32+185.09, both within Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District.

In addition, the Ministry of Transport, based on investment needs, will continue to report and propose to competent authorities for consideration when there are conditions for resources.
