Da Nang creates favourable conditions for MM Mega Market Company to operate effectively

Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh chaired a meeting on Wednesday with leaders of the MM Mega Market Company in Viet Nam to listen to its plan to develop a hypermarket project in a 19,197m2 area at 4 frontage roads on Nguyen Sinh Sac, Le Doan Nha and Tran Van Ky in Lien Chieu District.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Chinh congratulated the company on winning the auction for the commercial land in accordance with the city's policy and putting the land into business exploitation.

The city leader requested the tax authorities, the Land Fund Development Center, and the Department of Planning and Investment to shorten the time to complete financial and licensing procedures so that the company can carry out the remaining work.

He also showed the city’s support for the company’s proposal to study the land in Son Tra District. Not only the company but all other investors are welcome to conduct investment research in Da Nang. Currently, all procedures are publicly auctioned, so it is very convenient for investors.

Mr. Gary Hardy, Vice President in charge of Southeast Asia development, Thailand’s BJC Group, the parent company of MM Mega Market Vietnam Co., Ltd., presented the company's project development plan for with the above land, and hoped to receive active support from the municipal government to soon deploy construction investment and put the project into operation.

According to BJC's strategy, the upcoming project will be built according to hypermarket standards based on the model of BigC Thailand with outstanding amenities such as supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and cinemas.

The new hypermarket project promises to bring local residents and tourists an interesting place for shopping and entertainment in the city.
