World Spa Awards, the global initiative to celebrate and reward excellence in the spa and wellness sector, has announced the winners of its 2023 programme under which Viet Nam was honoured with‘Asia's Best Spa Destination 2023’ award, surpassing many other strong candidates such as China, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. This is the second consecutive year Viet Nam has won this prestigious award.

This year, at the world level, Da Nang made its mark as the One-Bedroom Spa Lagoon Villa at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was won ‘The World’s Best Private Spa Villas 2023’ award. One-Bedroom Spa Lagoon Villas, two spectacular wellness-inspired sanctuaries, appear to float above a lagoon in a hidden valley, surrounded by lush rainforest.

This year’s notable winners included Switzerland’s Bürgenstock Alpine Spa, which claimed the coveted title for ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa’, whilst the iconic Palazzo Fiuggi, Italy was voted ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat’.

World Spa Awards is the sister event to World Travel Awards, taking place every year. It serves to celebrate and reward excellence in spa and wellness tourism through our annual awards programme, aiming to inspire exceptional standards and connect spa consumers with the best in spa and wellness tourism.
