Following Prime Minister-issued Decision No. 1287 dated November 2, 2023 regarding the approval of Da Nang master planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision towards 2050, the Da Nang - Thanh My - Ngoc Hoi - Bo Y Expressway connecting the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway will be constructed.

Additionally, the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway, the section of the National Highway 14B through Da Nang, and a bypass route to south of the Hai Van Tunnel will be upgraded.

Also, the Western Ring Road No.1 between the Western Ring Road and the expressway will be build. A research on the construction of tunnels at Da Nang International Airport will be conducted.

Heed will be on adding some new routes connecting the soon-to-be-developed Lien Chieu Port to the southern bypass of the Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel, and the route from the Western Ring Road to the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway behind the High-Tech Park, as well as connecting Nguyen Sinh Sac Street to extended Hoang Van Thai Street, and from Hoa Khanh Industrial Park to the new railway station to form the main axis connecting east - west.

Attention will be paid to constructing Le Duan Street connecting with Dong Da Street, Hoang Hoa Tham Street with Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, some traffic works crossing the Han River and connecting from Dong Da - Tran Phu route to the Van Don - Tran Hung Dao route, Western Ring Road No.2 and others.

The city will continue to expand the public passenger transportation network by bus in order to increase route coverage density and enhance connection with other modes of transportation, as well as encourage environmentally friendly vehicles such as electric buses.

With regard to urban railways, two Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), eleven Light Rail Transit (LRT) and three tourist LRT lines or other methods equivalent to transport capacity and speed will be built in the city.

Some LRT lines will take advantage of available track land fund of the North-South national railway branch for construction, and at the same time combine urban redevelopment along the LRT corridor according to TOD orientation.

Moreover, a public transport route connecting Da Nang with Hoi An in Quang Nam Province, and Lang Co Town in Thua Thien Hue Province will be constructed.
