Hosted by the municipal Women’s Union, the market featured a wide range of typical local products such as conical hats, fish sauce, dried fish, dried squid, and others.

Also, market-goers had the opportunity to enjoy Da Nang specialties prepared by union members; experience weaving Hoa Bac brocade and grinding flour with stone mortars; and take part in exciting folk games.

In the afternoon of the same day, the municipal Women's Union coordinated with the city’s Centre for Natural Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to organise a golden bell ringing contest to help union members learn about knowledge about preventing, combating and reducing natural disaster risks and adapting to climate change.

At the contest, 7 teams from 7 districts, with 15 people each, answered questions related to natural disaster prevention and climate change adaptation; the role of women in natural disaster prevention; types of natural disasters that frequently occur in the city and response skills; and regulations on natural disaster prevention.

As a result, the contest’s organisers awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes to the competing teams.

Notable, the Golden Bell Ringing Champion award was given out to the most outstanding comtestant.

On the occasion, the Da Nang Women's Union maintains the connection week at the display site from December 22 to 29, aiming to supporting the connection and consumption of production and business products of female entrepreneurs and female small traders citywide.
