Addressing the event, Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front cum Head of the Steering Committee of the Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods’ campaign in the city, highly appreciated relevant agencies at all levels and businesses and production facilities across the city for effectively spread the significance of the campaign to local people from all walks of life.

Till date, the whole city has developed nearly 100 products including OCOP (One Commune - One Product), typical rural industrial and typical commercial products, many of which have built brands, been exported to foreign countries, and were chosen as gifts by the city leaders during their working sessions and business trips. Consumers across the city are increasingly interested in prioritising consuming Vietnamese goods.

In 2024, the campaign’s steering committee will map out a joint communications plan, propose separate policies to spread the campaign as well as focus on investing more in trade promotion to bring Vietnamese products, and OCOP Da Nang products in particular, to the world.

Relevant local agencies will task themselves with effectively implementing support programmes, puting into operation the online shopping map, applying technology and digital transformation into trade promotion, connection, and product introduction activities.

At the same time, measures will be taken to inspect and control the market, protect the rights of consumers, deploy and expand the use of QR stamps to trace origins, and complete product traceability software.

According to a report released at the event, in 2023, the mobilisation of people and businesses to respond to the campaign has been carried out in an effective manner. The promotion of typical products and strengths of the city and other localities is promoted. Market development and trade promotion events are given special attention.

The Department of Industry and Trade organised three general trade fairs with many booths displaying, introducing and promoting OCOP, typical commercial products, and typical rural industrial products of Da Nang; two programmes to promote OCOP and typical products of Da Nang; two market fairs in mountainous communes of Hoa Vang District.

This municipal agency has opened a sales point for OCOP and Vietnamese goods at the downtown Han Market, maintained good Vietnamese stalls at the Con Market; connected Vietnamese and OCOP goods to OCOP selling points at supermarkets and Vietnamese goods display points.

Also, a total of 203 rounds of displaying Vietnamese, OCOP, typical and traditional products took place.

Along with that, support of all kinds was given to businesses, production and business establishments, and cooperatives across the city in an effective manner.
