In recently-issued document No. 9618/VPCP-CN, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has directed relevant ministries and national government agencies to complete the investment plan for the construction of the Lien Chieu Port in Da Nang.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has requested the Da Nang authorities to fully absorb the opinions of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies to perfect the construction and investment plan for the Lien Chieu Port. This will help ensure overall, synchronous, modern, and optimally effective development, and maximise the advantages of geographical location and development potential of the central coastal city.

Importance should be attached to proposing principles, criteria, plans, and forms of investor selection to select capable investors for the project; as well as carefully reviewing the laws on bidding, investment and others to propose solutions for investors who have submitted valid documents, he added.

Heed should be on ensuring that the project will be put into operation in sync with the shared infrastructure as directed by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 435/QD-TTg dated May 3- 2021 approving the investment policy of the shared infrastructure of the Lien Chieu Port project.

In case of necessity, the Da Nang People's Committee can establish a working group, and invite representatives of ministries, national goverment agencies, experts, and scientists to join the process of researching and completing the investment plan for the Lien Chieu Port.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment is urged to coordinate with the municipal People's Committee to consider and select investors who have submitted valid documents according to the provisions of law in order to carry out further procedures according to legal regulations on investment.
