The planned area, including Nam O rapids, is about 53,261m2. Of which, 18,682m2 will be earmarked for the construction of the ecological park, and 2,441m2 for the public square. Meanwhile, the natural forest area maintained in its current state is about 32,138m2.
According to the plan, an ecological park and public square will be built to protect the Nam O Reef area. Also, public space combined with tourism exploitation will be created in service of residents and tourists.
Specifically, a walking route around the rapids will be built at the ecological park. Open space points such as a viewing platform, a platform to exploit the landscape of the rapids, and service facilities will be arranged for visitors.
The public square south of the Nam O rapids will feature a large space combined with green trees and public amenities such as rest huts and public toilets.
The plan also clearly states the conservation and embellishment of relics in the Nam O rapids with the focus on maintaining the status quo of natural forest land.
The Nam O rapids ecological park has a maximum construction density of 2.78%. The public square south of the rapids has a maximum construction density of 5%.
The municipal People's Committee assigned the Lien Chieu District authorities to coordinate with the investor of the Nam O eco-tourism area project to have a written commitment agreeing to connect water sources and underground low voltage lines to supply the project.
