Gasoline and diesel prices have risen by around VND500 per litre starting from 3:00 pm on Thursday.

The retail price of biofuel E5 RON92 increased by VND377 to VND 21,418 per litre, whilst that of the widely used RON95 went up VND547 to the maximum of VND22,482  per litre.

At the same time, oil products recorded an increase of VND205-487 per litre. Specifically, diesel oil 0.05S had a VND487 rise to VND20,194. Kerosene is being sold at the price of VND20,536 per litre, an increase of VND205 per litre. Mazut oil was capped at a maximum of VND15,508 per kg, up VND307.

The two ministries decided to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund for mazut oil at VND300 per kilogramme, the same as in the previous adjustment.
