South Korea's budget airline Aero K opened a new route connecting Cheongju City to the central coastal city of Da Nang on Monday.

According to the Korean carrier, Da Nang is the first city in Viet Nam that Aero K has chosen to operate regular flights from Cheongju to Da Nang with a frequency of one flight every day.

Accordingly, the flight departed from Cheongju at 10:05 pm on Feb. 5 and landed in Da Nang at 00:45 am the next day. The return trip departed from Da Nang at 2:15 am on the same day.

The launching of the new air route provides more choices for tourists, increases flights to serve travel needs, and stimulates tourism growth between the two cities.

South Korea is one of the leading international markets for Da Nang tourism. Every day, there are 23-25 flights operating between Da Nang and such major South Korean cities as Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Muan and Cheongju.

The fact that Aero K Airlines chose Da Nang as its first destination in Viet Nam affirms the city's appeal to tourists from the ‘Land of kimchi’.
