The project, at the same time, laid the foundation for socio-economic development, creating space for healthy public and entertainment activities for communities inside and outside the city, preserving and embellishing the landscape, consolidating urban green areas in the central area, and completing and synchronising technical infrastructure with the entire area, he added.
Aside from beautifying the sidewalk landscape, the project will focus on building a cycling route along Thang Long Street with a length of about 2km and a width of 3m; investing in lighting systems along the riverbank; creating more green spaces; arranging parking bays and railings along the riverbank; and building rest stops and some outdoor equipment to create a riverside walking route.

However, the Management Board and contractors have together discussed solutions to speed up the construction progress. In particular, the project is scheduled to be basically completed in December 2024 and put it into use before the Lunar New Year 2025", Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy emphasised.
Chairman of the Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh excitedly said that the project will create a functional space with flexible landscape. At the same time, the walking route will connect to the riverside mangrove landscape with many unique species of plants, and aquatic products.
He voiced his hope that the Management Board and contractors will pay attention and limit impacts that may have adverse effects on landscape and riverside mangrove forest environment in a bid to soon bring a wonderful walking space to people and tourists.
Director of the Quang Minh Construction Co., Ltd. Pham Dinh Cuong said that the contractor consortium is committed to accelerating the progress and shortening the construction time to put the project into use before Tet 2025 but still ensuring safety, quality and environmental hygiene.
