Da Nang stimulates tourism with many incentives

The Da Nang Department of Tourism has just launched the 2024 stimulus programme, with many incentives on various tourism products and services.

The programme is intended to increase media effects, spread the images of local tourist destination, and increase experiences for domestic and international tourists.

Over 10,000 free vouchers and discounts

This year's stimulus programme is called 'Enjoy Danang 2024' with 5 main tourism products: 'Enjoy Danang Festival'; 'Enjoy Danang by night'; 'Enjoy Danang - Where happiness begins'; 'Enjoy Danang MICE' and 'Enjoy Danang Cuisine'.

Mrs. Huynh Thi Huong Lan, Deputy Director in charge of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, said that the ‘Enjoy Danang 2024’ programme with many attractive products and activities promises to increase the experience for tourists this summer.

Accordingly, more than 10,000 free vouchers and discounts, totalling about VND5 billion are now available for tourists.

In particular, 2,000 free tickets for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 will be given to those who register to buy Da Nang’s tourism services/products on online platforms (Kkday and Traveloka), on the programme’s website at https://danangticket.com/, and social network sites of Da Nang tourism; or participate in minigames/lucky spins at information counters at domestic and international arrival terminals at Da Nang International Airport or at the Da Nang Tourist Support Centres. Also, gifts will go to the first 100 couples who choose Da Nang to hold their wedding celebrations/wedding anniversaries/honeymoons.

According to Mrs. Huong Lan, the organised activities will support businesses in promoting products and services and linking supply chains to offer attractive tourism product and service packages, thereby attracting key customer markets.

With domestic tourist markets, the city targets the market segment of retail customers, families, and groups of young people who love experiential tourism in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and other northern and southern provinces, and nearby markets.

With international markets, the city will focus on traditional markets such as South Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, and Taiwan (China), plus new and potential markets of India, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Australia.

Therefore, to offer more options for tourists to explore Da Nang, aside from voucher incentives, there are also attractive combo packages such as combo ‘Enjoy Da Nang by train’ and combo ‘Enjoy Da Nang - Competing at Iron Man 70.3 Vietnam’ exploited by local travel companies.

Visitors can hunt for free vouchers/preferential prices to experience sightseeing, accommodation, dining, entertainment and shopping services at the ‘Golden Week - Receive thousands of offers’ programme at https://danangticket.com (divided into 2 phases: from April 1 - April 8, and August 1 - August 8).

Increasing visitors’ experience

According to tourism experts, products in the stimulus packages should concentrate on improving the quality of tourism services and products in a bid to increase tourists' experience.

As one of the businesses that regularly participates in the city's stimulus programme, the Hai Van Cat International Travel Services Company has already prepared products for this year’s programme such as a combo of air tickets and hotel rooms; a combo of air tickets, hotel rooms and tickets to the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area; and a combo of 4 day- and 3-night tour in the city.

Director of the company Nguyen Minh Xoang stressed the need for tourism service providers to improve the quality of their products and services in order to attract more customers in the current general context. For example, to prepare for this year's summer tourist season, the company prepares means of transportation and unique products to attract customers from neighbouring localities.

Participating in Da Nang's stimulus programme for the first time, Mr. Le Hoang Bao Nhan, Manager of the Mr Anh Restaurant said that this was a very meaningful programme for the city. With the participation of tourism, service and culinary businesses, the programme will contribute to luring more tourists to the city.

He added that under the programme, from April - December 2024, the restaurant will launch 55 vouchers for cuisine, cooking classes and discount vouchers for tourists each month.

General Secretary of the Da Nang Tourism Association Ho Thanh Tu assessed that the 2024 stimulus products are suitable for retail customers, small groups of customers, and online sales channels. This is also true of the current tourist trend of actively searching for destinations and services where they intend to travel. Therefore, he underlined the necessity for tourism products to focus on on-site experience packages, making it easier for guests to choose.

According to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An, the stimulus programme "Enjoy Danang 2024" has offered a wide range of very new activities and content.

The city's tourism industry continues to lay an emphasis on promoting customer segments, such as enjoying events and festivals; enjoy culinary; enjoy wedding tourism and enjoy night tourism, in the near future, aimed at increasing many experiences for tourists when coming to Da Nang.
