Mr. Tran Van Vy, My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang said that his family had just installed a complete set of household appliances and furniture controlled via smartphone at a total cost of more than VND 200 million.
Once completed, the device has solved the problem of automating household chores such as opening/closing gates; automatic watering; using smart internet/wifi; security and safety monitoring and warnings via cameras.
The family can experience smart sound, control via touch switches, presence sensors and motions with just 1 touch or voice command on an installed internet-connected smartphone with a separate management application available.
In addition to households, many units and businesses have approached and installed smart devices as an effective support solution in monitoring, management, and security.
Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, the Director of Phat Van Vinh Company Limited, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District said that installing identification sensors, cameras and smart locks has helped him reduce manpower during the process of checking and monitoring warehouses and products to avoid theft. At the same time, smart devices also have convenience in helping to save energy.
“I installed an automatic light sensor in places where there are no people. The lights will turn off automatically to reduce energy consumption by 10-20% compared to before.”, Mr. Vinh said.
Specializing in providing products with ‘made in Viet Nam’ solutions for consumers, Mr. Tran Bao Nam, the Director of Tenki Company Limited, Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District said that, with only a few hundred VND, even a few million VND means customers can install and experience the benefits of smart home devices, instead of tens or hundreds of millions of VND like before. This helps customers in all segments from affordable to high-end to access smart home devices.
To compete with famous, low-cost brands from China and Viet Nam, Mr. Nam's company focuses on giving customers more experience and providing solutions that bring peace of mind about safety and security, with confidential user-friendly features.
In particular, security is the company's top priority when using to store data and user information through the server of Viettel network (the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group). When there is an incident or external operation, the home owner can still check the information and access history clearly to remove access rights from others.
In the system, electronics supermarkets and stores selling smart home appliances such as Viettronimex have also recorded a rise in the purchasing power over the past few years. Particularly at a time when household appliances and electronic furniture products suffered a decrease in revenue, smart equipment products still grew. This showed that the transition from traditional electronic devices to smart ones operated and controlled by phone devices and remotely connected is becoming a trend in the future.
Mr. Nguyen Le Tuan Tuong, the Head of Media Mart electronics supermarket center, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District informed that there are dozens of products with different prices for TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners from a few tens of millions of VND to several hundred millions of VND per device. The store always maintains inventory of about 20-30% smart devices to meet user needs.
However, users need to carefully research the product, brand and suitability for intended use to avoid waste. For businesses, to be successful, they need to have a suitable business strategy, provide high quality products and good services to customers.
