Specifically, a series of activities have been organised along Da Nang beaches to serve the entertainment needs of residents and tourists. Included are the opening programme of the Da Nang Beach Tourism Season on the holidays of April 30 and May 1, and the Viet Nam - Japan Festival 2024.

The most awaited ‘Enjoy Da Nang’ Festival 2024 is scheduled to take place from July 17 - 21 along local beaches and coastal routes, featuring 14 cultural, sport and tourism activities.

Notable among them will be the opening concert of the programme on July 17 gathering many famous domestic singers and artistes; and the ‘Vietnamese and International Flavors’ culinary festival from July 17-21 with a scale of more than 50 local, regional and international food stalls.

Additionally, a wide range of cultural and sports activities will be organised during the programme, including artistic kite shows from July 17 - 19 with the participation of more than 50 large aerodynamic kites in unique shapes of marine creatures; and a sand festival from July 17 - 21 with unique and new art spaces on Pham Van Dong and Ha Khe beaches, and park beach at the end of Nguyen An Ninh Street in Lien Chieu District.

One of the highlight of the festival will be a performance of over 15 sailboats along the Han River on July 20, creating something new and different.

According to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong, with the desire to bring new experiences for tourists when travelling to Da Nang, the city's tourism industry and businesses are making efforts to renew existing products, and upgrade and innovate food and display stalls using environmentally friendly equipment to create a unique space.

Besides, the municipal Department of Tourism has connected with travel businesses to promote events and activities to customers. Meanwhile, travel businesses have proactively built and upgraded existing tours and routes combined with festival products and activities for tourists.

To promote this big event, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre has worked with Traveloka (an application specialising in providing online airline tickets and hotel booking services) to introduce the tourism stimulus programme ‘Enjoy Da Nang 2024’ on Traveloka's application platform.

Accordingly, Traveloka has built a separate information page to promote the ‘Enjoy Da Nang 2024’ Festival to domestic and international tourists, issuing nearly 2,000 vouchers for tourists to use products and services on Traveloka such as booking airline, hotels and sightseeing tickets in Da Nang.

Mr. Ho Thanh Tu, Director of the Phieu Luu Viet Co., Ltd. said that city-based tourism firms have partnered with related units to develop new and attractive tourism products this summer.

In addition to introducing events and activities of the ‘Enjoy Da Nang Festival' 2024 into tours to increase experiences for guests, they offered combo packages (air tickets, hotel rooms...) with extremely preferential prices to lure more visitors to the city, he added.

Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches Tran Dai Nghia said that to ensure safety for people and tourists when participating in fun and entertainment activities held at tourist beaches, since the beginning of the year, the Management Board has made specific plans to upgrade public service facilities and enhance service quality at beaches.

Also, the Management Board has coordinated with functional forces to ensure security and order, food safety and hygiene, and environmental sanitation at large, crowded events; as well as increased the number of lifeguards at beaches crowded with swimmers to guarantee safety.
