A ceremony was held in Da Nang on Thursday to award a Certificate of Merit from municipal People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh to the Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd., based in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District, for winning the National Quality Gold Award.

On January 31, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 132/QD-TTg on awarding the National Quality Awards, in which, the DAIWA Vietnam Co., Ltd. was one of the enterprises receiving the National Quality Gold Awards.

In order to promptly commend and reward city-based enterprises with outstanding achievements in productivity and quality activities, on July 4, 2024, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh issued Decision No. 1456/QD-UBND on awarding a Certificate of Merit to the DAIWA Vietnam Co., Ltd. for receiving the National Quality Gold Award in 2022.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology Le Duc Vien said that this meaningful activity aimed to recognise the contributions of the company's leaders and employees in improving productivity, goods quality, competitiveness and efficiency of production and business activities, as well as in boosting integration with the regional and world economy.

The Department of Science and Technology acts as the standing agency of the city's Preliminary Selection Council. Every year, the department closely coordinates with departments and agencies in organising, mobilising, guiding, evaluating and selecting enterprises to participate in the National Quality Awards.

The city's enterprises which have won the National Quality Gold Awards, including DAIWA Vietnam Co., Ltd., are typical enterprises in the city, making many positive contributions to productivity and quality activities in particular and to the local socio-economic development in general.

It is known that the Viet Nam National Quality Award is part of the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award system of the Asia-Pacific Quality Organisation.

Since its implementation in 1996, more than 2,000 enterprises have won these awards, including around 300 receiving National Quality Gold Awards. To date, 30 enterprises in Da Nang have been eligible for the prestigious awards and have won five National Quality Gold Awards and a Asia-Pacific Quality Award.
