The 'Enjoy Da Nang' Festival 2024 officially opened at the East Sea Park on Wednesday evening. The most-anticipated summer event promises to bring an array of captivating activities and experiences for people and tourists.

In his speech delivered at the opening ceremony of the event, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the municipal Department of Tourism, district-level authorities, tourism businesses and people for their active involvement in the cause of tourism development.

According to Mr. Cuong, the city's tourism activities in the first half of 2024 continued to flourish, becoming a bright spot in the city's economic development.

During the 6-month period, many national and international-level events and festivals were continuously organised, and a number of new tourism products were launched, all contributing to creating a vibrant and fresh atmosphere and attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to Da Nang.

In order to diversify tourism products, contribute to positioning Da Nang as Asia's leading festival and event destination, and increase visitors' experiences, the city launched a ‘Enjoy Da Nang’ programme 2024 offering a slew of tourism products such as events, festivals, night tourism, wedding tourism, MICE tourism and culinary tourism.

The 'Enjoy Da Nang' Festival 2024 is expected to be a unique tourism product, and at the same time to be an effective activity to promote Da Nang to domestic and international tourists, thereby contributing to increasing the operation efficiency of enterprises.

Vice Chairman Cuong emphasised this was an event invested in by the city on a large scale, offering many new and full-filled activities, especially the grand opening concert gathering many famous artists and singers, promising to bring surprises and unforgettable impressions to visitors. In addition, there will be a wide range of attractive and diverse entertainment, sports, cultural, culinary, and tourism activities.

“Through the event, we want to spread the message of a wonderful, friendly and hospitable Da Nang, and a place with many attractions, entertainment, attractive tourism activities and quality services”, Mr. Cuong emphasised.

The Da Nang Enjoy Festival 2024 takes place from July 17 - 21 at the East Sea Park, Da Nang’s tourist beaches, and both banks of the Han River. It features 14 cultural and sports activities, creating a new experience space for local residents, and domestic and international tourists.

The grand opening concert at the East Sea Park had the participation of famous singers and artists such as My Tam, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Phuong Ly, Pham Dinh Thai Ngan, and DJ Mie.

Within the framework of the festival, there are ‘Vietnamese and International Flavors’ culinary festival; an artistic kite show; a performance of sailboats along the Han River; a traditional culinary experience space from July 17 - 21; an experiential space for children; a coastal festival; a series of unique nightly art shows; a SUP festival; a kitesurfing show; parachute canoe performances between July 17 and 18; Zumba flashmob; and the Da Nang Barefoot Run.

Moreover, festival-goers have the opportunity to make Tuy Loan rice paper and traditional cakes such as ‘banh it’ (glutinous rice cakes filled with meat or green bean paste), ‘banh beo’ (bloating fern-shaped cakes), ‘banh xeo’ (sizzling crepe with shrimp and pork filling), and ‘banh xu xe’ (glutinous coconut cakes with mung-bean paste).

Furthermore, coastal festival, SUP festival, sailing performance on the Han River, and some special connecting activities at tourist spots, promise to surprise tourists and local people.
