The event was jointly organised by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre and the Hai Van Cat International Travel JSC as part of the city's plan to promote the opening of a direct flight between Indonesia and Da Nang expected to be launched in October 2024. This is considered the premise for the city to expand the potential international tourist market, targeting the exchange of visitors and tourism products of the country with more than 250 million people in Southeast Asia.

During their 5-day stay, the famtrip delegation visit a number of tourist attractions in Da Nang such as the Son Tra Peninsula, the Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Dragon bridge, and the My Khe Beach, along with Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An ancient town.
They will also participate in the gala dinner in Da Nang to meet and connect with local partners and tourism businesses to exchange cooperation opportunities in the coming time.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, before welcoming the famtrip delegation from Indonesia, the Hai Van Cat International Travel JSC took part in many activities to introduce destinations at fairs held in Indonesia. Therefore, this is the right time to accelerate the exploitation of this potential source of tourists.
The welcome of representatives from Indonesian tourism businesses to Da Nang to survey the quality of services, destinations, and tourism products of Da Nang and its neighbouring Quang Nam Province is necessary for local businesses to exploit the new tourist market. This is the good opportunity for partners to experience local tourism products as well as witness the potential for future development cooperation.
