According to the municipal Department of Transport, the inauguration of such key routes as the Tuy Loan - Tuy Loan riverside routes, the first phase of the western ring road (with a section connecting National Highway 14B to Ho Chi Minh Road), the DT 601 road, and the Northwest Axis, 1 has boosted traffic connection and socio-economic development, and enhanced people's quality of life as well.

For instance, after more than one year of being open to traffic, the Tuyen Son - Tuy Loan riverside route has created an important traffic axis along the Cam Le River, connecting the western and southwest sides of the city. The route has helped reduce traffic overload on existing roads, while also creating conditions for the development of new urban areas along both sides of the river.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, a resident of Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, said that the completed route has reduced the load on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, National Highway 14B and Do Bridge - Tuy Loan, creating new traffic flows for the riverside area, improving connectivity between Cam Le and Hoa Vang districts and the city centre. In addition, the route promotes the development of tourism and services and increase the value of real estate in riverside areas.

The western ring road at phase 1 (with a section connecting National Highway 14B to Ho Chi Minh Road) is an important part of Da Nang's ring road system passing through 5 communes of Hoa Vang District namely Hoa Phong, Hoa Phu, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Ninh and Hoa Lien.

According to Director of the Da Nang Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Nguyen Minh Huy, the investment in the route aims to perfect the urban traffic system to boost the connection of traffic networks in Da Nang and in Central Highlands provinces through National Highway 1A, National Highway 14B, and Ho Chi Minh Road.

Besides, the route contributes to promoting the socio-economic development in the western side of the city, reducing the overload on inner-city roads, facilitating goods transportation and inter-regional traffic connections, and opening up development opportunities for industrial parks and new urban areas in the western side of the city.

Among the newly completed roads that bring more convenience to people are DT 601 and Northwest Axis 1. These two roads have significantly improved connectivity between areas in the city, especially the northern side of the city, making an important contribution to distributing traffic flow and reducing the overload on central roads. Particularly, Northwest Axis 1 road also plays an important role in connecting the northwest side with the city centre, thereby improving traffic and fostering the development of new urban areas and industrial parks.

According to the Da Nang City Traffic Infrastructure Management Centre, to further promote the effectiveness of new roads, it is necessary for the city to synchronously invest in technical infrastructure such as drainage systems, lighting, and trees to ensure aesthetics and traffic safety. At the same time, there should be appropriate traffic management solutions to avoid congestion as well as strictly control construction and business activities along the route, promote propaganda, and raise people's awareness of traffic culture.

Director of the municipal Department of Transport Bui Hong Trung acknowledged that investment in transport infrastructure was one of the important factors to boost the city’s socio-economic development. He emphasised that the effective management and exploitation of these roads greatly contributed to ensuring traffic safety, urban beauty and sustainable development.
