Following recent approval by Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong, the Son Tra Night Market, located at the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge, will continue maintaining its operations until September 30.

In addition, the Authority of Son Tra District has been assigned to study and collect opinions from related units to complete the plan to organise the Son Tra Night Market and send it to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to synthesise into the auction plan for leasing premises with a time limit at the proposed location.

The municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment has been directed to coordinate with the People's Committee of Son Tra District to complete the auction plan for leasing premises with a time limit to organise the market, and then submit it to the municipal People's Committee for prompt implementation in early August 2024.

Located on Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De streets in An Hai Tay Ward, Son Tra District, the night market was officially opened in September 2018. It has become a popular tourist destination for domestic and international visitors.

The market features about 50 stalls selling food, souvenirs, handicrafts and specialties of Da Nang and central regional localities.

Previously, the city planned to close and relocate the night market from early July, 2024 because congestion often occurred around the venue, especially during weekends or festivals.
