The Viet Nam Railway Corporation announced on Thursday that the railway sector has opened the sale of train tickets for the rest of the year, including the National Day (September 2).

Specifically, ticket sale for trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8 on the Ho Chi Minh City – Ha Noi route, is open.

Tickets are now available for passenger trains SE19/SE20 on the Ha Noi - Da Nang route, NA1/NA2 on the Ha Noi - Vinh route, SP3/SP4 on the Ha Noi - Lao Cai route, and HP1/HP2, LP2/LP3, LP5/LP6, LP7/LP8 on the Ha Noi - Hai Phong route.

In the southern region, the railway sector opens the sale of tickets for SE21/SE22 trains running between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, SNT1/SNT2 trains operating between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, and SPT1/SPT2 trains between Ho Chi Minh City and Phan Thiet.

On the occasion, the railway sector offers discounts to social policy beneficiaries including heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids, people infected with toxic chemicals, people with severe disabilities, the elderly, children, students, members of trade union organisations, and passengers with customer cards for all the above-mentioned trains.

In addition, during the National Day holiday (from August 29 - September 3), 5% discount on return tickets is being applied for individual passengers who buy round-trip tickets, and 7% discount on return tickets for groups of 20 people or more.

From August 19 to late 2024 (except for the September 2 holiday), the railway sector applies up to 15% discount on train fares.

As for Thong Nhat passenger trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6 and SE7/SE8, passengers will enjoy 5% - 15% discount if they book tickets 10 days or more in advance, excluding bed cabins.

The similar discount will be applied for passengers who buy tickets for trains SE21/SE22 (HCMC - Da Nang); SNT1/ SNT2 (HCMC - Nha Trang); and SPT1/SPT2 (HCMC - Phan Thiet) when buying tickets 10 days or more before departure date, except for sleeper seats on trains SNT1/SNT2, SPT1/SPT2.

Passengers who buy group tickets, with a number of passengers of 11 or more, will receive a discount of 4% to 12% on ticket prices. Those who buy round-trip tickets will enjoy a 10% discount on return ticket prices. The railway will set up its own train with departure and arrival times according to customer requests and agreed prices.
