Tuyen Quang Province promotes tourism in Da Nang

The Management Board of Tuyen Quang Provincial Tourist Areas held a talk show in Da Nang on Wednesday to promote local tourism in the central coastal city.

During the event, a spokesperson of the Management Board introduced the potential and strengths of Tuyen Quang Province, thereby promoting tourism development and cooperation with Da Nang, and  attracting more tourists to the province and vice versa. The event also provided the good opportunity for travel firms in the central region to learn about the province's tourism market.

According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An, the talk show was organised following the success of the "Through Viet Bac Heritage Sites" programme 2024 held in the city on July 8. She highlighted that the event offered the good opportunities for Da Nang-based travel companies to learn about and exchange cooperation activities with Tuyen Quang Province in a bid to create unique tourism products between the two localities.

Mr. Le Quoc Thu, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Tuyen Quang Provincial Tourist Areas, said that Tuyen Quang is a mountainous province in the Northeast of Viet Nam. It houses a number of valuable historical and cultural relics such as Na Nua Shack (Na Lua), Tan Trao and Hong Thai communal houses, Tan Trao banyan tree, and Hang Bong shack, along with many well-known tourist spots including the Na Hang - Lam Binh National Special Scenic Landscape Nature Reserve, Ban Ba ​​Waterfall, Nam Me Waterfall, Khuoi Nhi Waterfall, Khuoi Pin Cave and Tien Cave.

Tuyen Quang Province has 22 ethnic groups, each with unique cultural heritage and many traditional and unique festivals being preserved and developed.

Notably, the The Tuyen Quang Citadel Festival has been confirmed by the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records as having the most unique and largest lanterns in Viet Nam.

He added that Tuyen Quang Province always identifies tourism development as a breakthrough and key task in its socio-economic development plan. Accordingly, many solutions, mechanisms and policies to promote tourism have been carried out. The entire province currently has 386 accommodation establishments, more than 250 restaurants, and 11 travel companies and branches.

With a new vision and new way of doing things, Tuyen Quang Province hopes and invites domestic and foreign investors and tourists to come to the province to learn about cooperation opportunities and visit local tourist attractions.
