VND 890 million in funding for supporting Da Nang enterprise to innovate technology
A total of VND 890 million in funding has been provided for the Mien Trung (Central) Seafood Import-Export JSC, located in Da Nang’s Son Tra District, to purchase smart shrimp graders.

In her remarks at the ceremony to present the financial support to the company on Thursday, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi highly lauded the Central Seafood Import-Export JSC for its great efforts in tech innovation activities, contributing to serving production and implementing general social security activities.
She emphasised that smart shrimp graders, using artificial intelligence and hi-tech, contributed to improving the competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, and helping the company maintain and improve its position among the leading enterprises in shrimp export. This will significantly increase added value, reduce production costs, enhance labor productivity, and save energy.
According to Vice Chairwoman Thi, the city's policy on supporting enterprises in tech innovation has been practically effective, promoting innovation and the application of scientific and technological achievements in production and life, and contributing to the development of enterprises.
She highly appreciated the results achieved in the tech innovation activities of enterprises as well as the support work of the municipal Department of Science and Technology for businesses.

She took the opportunity to ask the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with relevant units to proactively advise on specific measures to effectively implement the city's policy mechanisms and prioritise the contents of supporting enterprises in tech innovation.
According to the Department of Science and Technology, this is the city’s specific policy, creating a favourable legal corridor to support enterprises in technological innovation and production development, creating new products, replacing imported goods, and enhancing product quality and competitiveness in the market.
Since 2017, the Department of Science and Technology has supported 14 enterprises in technological innovation with total funding of more than VND 6.62 billion.
The unit has actively worked with business associations to survey and guide enterprises in preparing documents to request support for technological innovation.
