Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review the plan for organising the event ‘Semiconductor Da Nang Day 2024’ (Semicon Da Nang 2024), which is slated for August 29 and 30 at the Ariyana International Convention Palace, 107 Vo Nguyen Giap, Ngu Hanh Son District.

This is a major event in the city to introduce the potential, advantages as well as the readiness and pioneering nature of Da Nang in developing the semiconductor industry. Therefore, preparations for such an important event must be thorough, scientific and accelerated.

Standing Vice Chairman Minh requested relevant local departments and units to ensure the best possible preparations for decoration and design such as backdrops, stages, sound and lighting systems, maintaining landscapes, security and order at the main event location (the Ariyana International Convention Palace) and locations to which organisations and individuals will take filed trips such as the Da Nang High-Tech Park, the Software Park No. 2., and local industrial parks.

The upcoming event will update the participants about the city’s preferential policies and investment support for strategic investors and partners in the semiconductor field, and information on the current situation and development orientation of the semiconductor field.

It will also create a forum for exchanges, discussions about effective solutions and policies for the development of the semiconductor microchip sector in Da Nang.

At the same time, the event will facilitate connections between State management agencies, training facilities providing human resources, and associations using human resources in the semiconductor microchip industry.

On August 29, the city will organise a field survey trip for organisations and individuals who want to learn more about the city's investment environment, and a programme to connect businesses with training facilities.

The major event will take place on August 30 with two sessions: the Da Nang Semiconductor Investment Promotion Conference in the morning and the Da Nang Semiconductor Human Resource Supply and Demand Connection Conference in the afternoon.

According to a report by the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency, the event on August 30 is expected to attract the participation of 400 delegates, including representatives of international and domestic semiconductor enterprises such as Synopsys, Renesas, Marvell, Qualcomm, FPT and Viettel.

Also within the framework of the event, there will be meetings and working sessions between the Da Nang leaders and businesses and investors; exhibitions of images, project information, training facilities; and the city’s overall information in the lobby area of the event’s venue.
