Da Nang has maintained its leading position in the Viet Nam ICT Index 2023, the ranking on the readiness for information and communications technology development and applications.

Da Nang has come out top of the Viet Nam ICT Index 2023

The city has scored 0.8485 points on the 1-point scale, followed by Can Tho with 0.6881, and Quang Ninh with 0.6514.

The results have been announced by the municipal Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry under the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Viet Nam Association for Information Processing.

As for component indexes, Da Nang has scored 0.79 points in technical infrastructure and human infrastructure indexes, and 0.97 points in information technology application index.

In particular, the city has ranked 2^nd in the technical infrastructure index with 0.7908 points, down 1 place compared to 2022, in which it has gained 0.7915 points in term of the technical - social infrastructure index (3^rd out of the 63 provinces and cities) and 0.7901 points in term of the technical infrastructure index among local State-run agencies (the second place).

It has come in second in human infrastructure index with 0.7892 points, of which social- human infrastructure index is 1 point and human infrastructure index in State agencies is 0.5785 points.

The city has led in the category of IT applications with a score of 0.9655 points. In particular, the city has got the maximum score in the internal IT application within local State-run agencies. Meanwhile, it has finished in second place in terms of the IT application through online public services with 0.931 points.

The city has ranked 6^th place in the IT industry index with 0.1148 points, maintaining its position compared to 2022. In particular, the production index is 0.0822 points (8^th out of the 63 provinces and cities), the service index 0.0245 points (8^th out of the 63 provinces and cities), and the business index 0.3607 points (2^nd out of the 63 provinces and cities).

This is the 14^th time that Da Nang has topped the ICT Index in the country. Previously, Da Nang led the index for 12 consecutive years from 2009-2020 and in 2022. As for the 2021 ICT Index, the organisers did not conduct surveys and rankings.
