Da Nang launches many activities to attract more visitors during National Day break
This year's holiday break celebrating the 79th National Day of Viet Nam (September 2) lasts four days. Taking advantage of this fact, Da Nang plans to organise many cultural and entertainment activities and events to serve both local residents and tourists.

According to tourism professionals, Da Nang is still a favourite destination for tourists. On the occasion of this year’s National Day holiday break, in addition to familiar destinations like beach resorts, enjoying night-time tourism through enjoying art shows, experiencing Bach Dang walking street, visiting the Son Tra night-time market, tourists can increase their travel and entertainment experience at events and festivals across the city.
As revealed by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, the city recently organised attractive events such as the Viet Nam - South Korea Festival 2024 from August 16 to 18 with many activities such as a workshop to share experiences in developing South Korea's strong economic sectors, trying the Hanbok and Ao Dai costumes; Taewondo martial arts performance; South Korean traditional musical instruments and arts; Viet Nam - South Korea cultural and artistic exchange programme; Vietnamese - Korean food making contest.
Cultural and artistic programs on the both banks of the Han River such as ‘Bai Choi’ (every Saturday and Sunday evening), a traditional musical instrument concert and a street magic show on the evening of September 1.
The ‘Larue Loves Da Nang’ concert will take place on August 24 at the ‘Bien Dong’ (East Sea) Park with the participation of many famous artists such as Isaac, Lou Hoang, Quang Hung Master D, DJ Shenlongz, MC Duc Cr and MC Quang Bao.
In particular, a drone light show is promised to create a music party with extremely eye-catching performances, stirring up the bustling summer vibes in the coastal city of Da Nang.
The BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2024 taking place from August 29 to 31, with the participation of 144 leading Vietnamese and international golfers, will attract a great deal of attention of many people who love this sport.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nhu Nam, the General Director of Viet Nam TravelMart company, during the coming four-day National Day holiday break, which falls in the end of summer and the beginning of the new school year, so families tend to choose nearby destinations, instead of taking long trips.
On this occasion, the city is also going to organize many activities and events to serve the residents and tourists, including the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2024. Golf tourism is one of the potential products of Da Nang and is highly appreciated in the general market. Currently, travel companies are quite well tapping the potential of the Northeast Asian tourist source market, especially South Korean tourists.
As assessed by Mr. Nguyen Nhu Nam, Da Nang is on the right track in developing high-end products linked with major events, especially sports ones in a bid to create more diversity in tourism products at popular destinations like Da Nang.
In a similar vein, tourist attractions and sites are busy preparing many activities and events to serve dwellers and tourists’ demands for travel and relaxation. For example, at the Mikazuki Danang Resort & Spa, visitors are given the opportunity to enjoy a Japanese-standard vacation with a 20% discount on service packages including entertainment at the Mikazuki 365 Water Park and one-night stay in 5-star garden-view or sea-view rooms.
At the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, to prepare to welcome tourists during the National Day celebration break, the resort has added more amenities to enhance tourists’ travel experience. Likewise, at the Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort, there is the B'estival Beer Festival, the Fairy Garden show; the operation of the No. 3 slide game with the most advanced technology meeting the entertainment needs of tourists who love adventurous experiences.
At the Da Nang Downtown, shows continue to take place from the afternoon to night to serve visitors such as Awaken River, Vietnamese Puppetry, Night Adventure and Symphony of River. It is known that since August, the fireworks display at the end of the Symphony of River show has been supplemented by the organiser with many new types of high-altitude firecrackers imported from China, bringing viewers many new effects in both colour and shapes, increasing the relaxation experience for tourists.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of the Sun Group Central Region, Da Nang is currently passing by the peak summer tourist season, however, the attraction of the city's tourism is still being maintained with a series of events and shows.
“To maintain this attraction, we are still preparing many attractive events and festivals to serve both local people and tourists from now until the end of the year, especially international visitors. Hopefully, with this series of attractive and new events, the Sun Group-developed tourist attractions are expected to contribute to increasing the attractiveness of Da Nang, luring more international tourists to the city during the peak season of international visitors,” said Mr. Binh.
