During the meeting, Secretary Quang highly appreciated the visit made by Samsung Vietnam Complex, especially its decision to build the Samsung Hope School, a charity project for young people, in Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.
This showed a positive signal in the cooperative relationships between Da Nang and the Samsung Vietnam Complex in particular, and Samsung Group in general, he said.
He also took the opportunity to congratulate the Samsung Vietnam Complex and the Samsung Group on their remarkable achievements over recent years. He hoped that the cooperative relationship between the groups and Da Nang will be further tightened in the coming time.
The city leader informed that on June 26, 2024, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on urban administration organisation and the piloting of a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang, including mechanisms and policies for the development of hi-tech, semiconductor, and artificial intelligence industries.
He expressed his hope that Samsung Group in general and Samsung Vietnam Complex in particular will study those specific mechanisms and policies and seek investment opportunities in the city.

In reply, Mr. Choi Joo Ho believed that the cooperative relationship between Samsung Group and Viet Nam will contribute to boosting the development of Da Nang in the future.
He revealed that the Samsung Vietnam Complex is expanding smart factory development projects nationwide, especially supporting a packaging factory in Da Nang to increase product quality by 3 times and equipment efficiency by 2 times compared to before.
In 2024, Samsung Vietnam Complex plans to coordinate with the municipal Department of Industry and Trade to select 1-2 enterprises to support the implementation of smart factory projects.
This year, with the launch of a product line applying artificial intelligence technology, Samsung Vietnam Complex is expected to record more development than in 2023.
