He affirmed that the "Semiconductor Da Nang Day 2024" marked a year of the municipal leaders’ efforts in mobilising resources to develop the semiconductor industry. This demonstrated the high determination of the entire political system in grasping trends, accessing the value chain, promoting human resource training and building a complete ecosystem for the development of the semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence (AI).
The event was also an opportunity for State agencies, enterprises, organisations, training institutions, and domestic and foreign experts in the field of semiconductor microchips to connect, share experiences, and promote cooperation, he added.
On behalf of the municipal government, Vice Chairman Minh sincerely thanked the presence and valuable contributions of all delegates for attending and sharing at the conference.
He hoped that lecturers involving semiconductor will continue to accompany the city in training the next generation of excellent students in the field. He also asked them to regularly update their knowledge and new technologies to keep up with the development trends of the world and the region, contributing to accurately orienting students and future human resources of the city.
In addition, he directed units which are assigned to implement the Project "Development of semiconductor and artificial intelligence in Da Nang" to focus on effectively implementing the tasks and solutions, as well as to promptly report difficulties and obstacles to the city leader, in order to complete the goal of training 5,000 semiconductor engineers for the city by 2030 on time.
Mr. Minh requested the organisations signing the Memoranda of Understanding to promptly implement the signed contents, and closely coordinate with units in the city to implement contents related to human resource training, contributing to building a semiconductor ecosystem in the city.
The Danang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC) should continue to strengthen cooperation with domestic and international training institutions, organisations and enterprises; and effectively implement human resource training programmes in semiconductor combined with artificial intelligence for the city, he suggested.
Moreover, the city leader hoped that experts will continue to support and contribute ideas and opinions on projects and policies for the development of semiconductor and artificial intelligence that the city is developing and will develop in the coming time, contributing to accelerating the process of participating in the semiconductor chip and artificial intelligence value chain.
