Digital Hub inaugurated at Da Nang University of Economics

The Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) inaugurated and handed over the DUE-MB Digital Hub to the University of Economics - the University of Da Nang on Friday. The move is expected to promote digital transformation capacity as well as stimulate the creativity of the young generation.

The DUE-MB Digital Hub is located right in the campus of the University of Economics. It features a multimedia digital technology learning/workshop space, "pitching" space, and smart digital banking space, with broadband technical infrastructure, and synchronous and modern equipment to serve the learning and scientific research for staff and students of the University of Economics.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Le Van Huy, Principal of the University of Economics, said that since the University of Economics and MB officially signed a cooperation agreement in September 2023, the two sides have coordinated closely in many fields, and together promoted each side's strengths.

“With the position of the University of Economics as the leading university in economics training, and at the same time the largest economic research centre in the Central and Central Highlands region, DUE-MB Digital Hub is even more become more practical and meaningful in the journey of transferring knowledge and promoting creativity" Assoc. Prof., Dr. Le Van Huy said.

Not only designed to simulate a digital bank, DUE-MB Digital Hub is also equipped with modern screens and tablets installed with MB-developed Bee Class software and educational platform in order to serve digital experience with a focus on transferring knowledge about Digital Banking and Fintech according to an experimental model.

Notably, the pitching area in the Digital Hub will be the place for enthusiastic and cooperative programmes between the University of Economics and MB.

This is the sixth Digital Hub built by MB at universities, but the first of its kind in Central Viet Nam. Previously, MB opened Digital Hubs at the Ha Noi-based Foreign Trade University, the Banking Academy, the National Economics University, the Viet Nam National University - Ha Noi, and the Ha Noi Polytechnic University.
