Organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) in Viet Nam, the event attracted 21 units from tourism promotion agencies of South Korean localities, and more than 150 representatives of airlines, and travel and tourism companies of Viet Nam.

During the event, many meetings and exchange activities were organised to promote MICE tourists between Vietnamese and Korean travel firms, opening up cooperation opportunities for all parties.

Notably, at the “Korean MICE Tourism” Night event, KTO informed its attractive support policies for the Vietnamese market. Also, the attendees had the opportunity to enjoy special art performances by South Korean artistes.

Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Viet Nam Tourism Association, highly appreciated the efforts of KTO Viet Nam in implementing Korean tourism activities in Viet Nam. KTO was always ready to support Vietnamese tourism businesses in welcoming Korean tourists and bringing Vietnamese tourists to Korea, he added.

Previously, on July 18 in Seoul, the Viet Nam Tourism Association and the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on boosting the bilateral cooperation, opening a new chapter in cooperation between tourism businesses of the two countries.

“We hope that with the support of the State tourism management agencies of the two countries and the close cooperation of the two associations, we will better promote the exchange of visitors between Vietnamese and South Korean tourism firms” Mr. Vu The Binh emphasised.

Chief Representative of the KTO in Viet Nam Lee Jae Hoon hoped that the Korea MICE Roadshow 2024 will facilitate Vietnamese and Korean tourism and travel agencies to connect each other, and at the same time introduce KTO’s attractive support policies for Korean travellers in general and MICE tourists in particular.

In the coming period, KTO will also actively advertise Korean tourism in Viet Nam, thereby fostering tourism exchange between Viet Nam and South Korea.
