During the meetings, Vice Chairwoman Thi informed that Da Nang has been emerging as an attractive destination for Indonesian tourists thanks to its great advantages of being located next to the world's great cultural heritages, being honoured as Asia's leading festival and event destination, short flight distances, and visa exemption policies for ASEAN member countries.
She added that Indonesia was one of the potential markets for Da Nang tourism due to its large population and Indonesian people's love of travelling. She, therefore, stressed the significance of opening direct flights between Da Nang and Indonesian cities in creating the source of tourists, and boosting the local economic development.
Also, the Da Nang delegation provided information on destinations, potential and growth of the Indonesian tourist market to the city, shared information on preferential policies with airlines, and received proposals from partners.
At the same time, she was committed to enhancing communication and promotion activities to open direct flights with Indonesia, organising more tourism promotion activities, and inviting Famtrip delegations of travel companies, press reporters and KOLs to experience Da Nang’s tourism products.
