Sioux Technologies learns about investment environment in Da Nang

Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh hoped the Sioux Technologies group will continue to support and accompany the city in spheres which are their strengths. He made the remarks when receiving some representatives of the group at the city’s Administrative Centre on Tuesday.

Chairman Chinh said Da Nang is also one of the country’s leading localities nationwide in innovation. However, the city is still in need of advice and support from large organisations and corporations, including Sioux Technologies, to turn ideas into products, have resources to raise ideas, and retain investors coming to the city.

Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Huynh Lien Phuong, Director of the city’s Investment Promotion and Support Agency, introduced the city’s high-tech ecosystem as well as its strategies and preferential and support policies for the development of high-tech, semiconductor, artificial intelligence and innovative startup to her guests.

With experience gained in successfully building the Brainport High-Tech Centre model in Eindhoven City, the Netherlands, Mr. Hans Duister, founder and CEO of Sioux Technologies Group, presented some solutions consistent with the practical situation of Da Nang.

At the same time, he proposed solutions to solve some difficulties the city is facing in developing high-tech industry, especially semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and innovative startups.

The meeting also featured discussions about cooperation programmes on improving the capacity of local businesses in the high-tech manufacturing supply chain and developing high-quality human resources in the city; and a number of issues of mutual interest such as preferential policies for strategic investors and partners in the fields of semiconductor and artificial intelligence.

It is known that Sioux Technologies, one of the world's leading technology corporations, was founded in 1996 in the Netherlands. It now has more than 1,200 engineers working in 13 offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Rumania, China, Viet Nam and Singapore.

Sioux Technologies is a tier 1 high-tech solutions provider that develops, innovates and assembles complex high-tech systems in the Netherlands. Its annual turnover is around 150 million EUR.

Sioux HTS was established in Da Nang in 2012, the first office of Sioux Technologies in Asia. It specialises in developing websites, and web, desktop and mobile-based applications. Sioux Da Nang currently has 60 employees and its headquarters is located at the Indochina Tower building at 74 Bach Dang.
