The "Da Nang Women - Digital Transformation - Creative Startups - Green Actions" Festival 2024 is taking place in the city from August 6 – 9.

Hosted by the Da Nang Women’s Union, the event aims to create a forum for local women to exchange and share experiences in digital transformation, startups; connect production and business networks; and protect the environment.

In her remarks at the opening ceremony of the festival on Tuesday, Chairwoman of the municipal Women's Union Hoang Thi Thu Huong said that the festival featured a series of nearly 10 diverse and practical activities.

In particular, the highlight of the festival is the 2024 Women's Startup Ideas Contest with 10 competing ideas, and a live stream contest to sell OCOP, typical rural industrial products, and environmentally friendly products, and products of natural origin.

Also, there are a number of exciting activities such as a programme connecting female entrepreneurs, female traders and female startups in the city and Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue provinces; a training course on applying AI technology in production and business; and a contest to learn about knowledge and create environmentally-friendly products.

Within the framework of the festival, there are 22 booths displaying 100 startup and recycled products, and booths supporting the union’s members and people in applying digital transformation.

All aforementioned activities contribute to raising awareness among members about digital transformation, and the necessity and urgency of applying information technology and social networks in the current period; as well as encouraging enterprises and business households owned by women to develop environmentally friendly products to protect the health of consumers.

On the occasion, the municipal Women's Union awarded prizes to outstanding ideas in the 2024 Women's Startup Ideas Contest. Specifically, the first prize went to the idea "Enhancing the value of Vietnamese herring - business household 43" by Ms. Vo Thi Hanh Dung. Two second, 3 third and 4 consolation prizes were awarded to ideas that entered the final round.
