The launching ceremony, which was attended by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, took place within the framework of the recently-held Viet Nam-India Business Forum in New Delhi, India.

Ahmedabad is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. It is beautiful, ancient in its own way with architectural works from ancient to modern. Gujarat is the headquarters of many large Indian enterprises investing in Viet Nam. Meanwhile, Da Nang offers the experience of the central region’s heritage journey with beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, Golden Bridge, Dragon Bridge, Ba Na Hills tourist area and other highly inviting tourist attractions.

Vietjet Air has reached the 200 million passenger milestone. The 200 millionth passenger of Vietjet was Sandeep Mehta, an Indian businessman, who received a gift of one year of free international flights operated by Vietjet. To celebrate this milestone, the airline is launching a week-long promotion from August 2 to August 8, 2024, offering 2 million tickets starting at INR 5,555 for all domestic and international routes.

Vietjet Air is currently the airline with the most direct flights between the two nations, with 56 flights per week on 7 routes. The total number of passengers between Viet Nam and India via Vietjet reached nearly 1.3 million.

Vietjet is the pioneer airline in launching a direct flight connecting India's capital New Delhi with Viet Nam's capital Ha Noi and the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City since December 2019. Direct flights between Viet Nam and India have helped reduce travel time for passengers, enhancing connectivity between the two countries.
