Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Quang Nam are together joining the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2024) which opened at the city’s Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) on September 5.

The joint pavilion of the 5 localities themed "Wonderful Heritage Land" has the participation and companionship of nearly 30 local tourism businesses.

Accordingly, the localities introduce to visitors their new tourism products, festivals, outstanding tourism events, tourism stimulus packages, typical souvenirs, and mini-games with attractive gifts. At the same time, there are meetings between local tourism firms and domestic and foreign buyers.

Particularly for Da Nang, the city is concentrating on advertising new products and programmes to attract MICE tourists, wedding tourism, new tours, and Da Nang tourism experiences through the VR360 application, along with attractive gifts for visitors with the lucky spin programme, and giving check-in photos with travel chatbots.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said that, over the past time, Da Nang and the aforementioned localities have joined a pavilion at the Viet Nam Int'l Travel Mart in Ha Noi and the ITE HCMC to increase the presence of Da Nang tourism in the domestic market, thereby strengthening direct connections with travel businesses and tourists.

She highlighted that ITE HCMC 2024 was a good opportunity for Da Nang-based tourism businesses to meet with domestic and international travel partners and event organisers to discuss and learn about market trends in order to develop a plan to lure more tourists to Da Nang in the coming time.

The 18th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2024) with the theme “Responsible Travel - Creating Future” is being held from September 5-7. The three-day event sees the attendance of over 450 exhibitors and 200 international buyers from 33 countries and territories.

Within the framework of the expo, there are a high-level forum themed “Net Zero Travel & Tourism - Creating future” along with six seminars on sustainable tourism development, exhibition activities, trade connections, survey programs and other response activities.
