Groundbreaking ceremony for Da Nang Landmark Tower project

The Cosmos Housing JSC held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Da Nang Landmark Tower project, a commercial centre and apartment complex, on Saturday.

Located at the corner of extended Bach Dang - Binh Minh 4 - Tran Van Tru streets, the project has a total investment of about VND 1.6 trillion.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh informed that Da Nang is oriented to become one of the major socio-economic centres of the country and Southeast Asia with the role of being a hub for innovation startups, tourism, trade, finance, logistics, hi-tech, information technology and supporting industries, as well as an ecological, modern, smart, liveable city.

In particular, the city eyes developing the urban area according to the model of a smart, high utility city with a unique and humane architectural planning appearance.

Covering an area of ​​3,765m2, the project is in align with the policy of exploiting and developing tourism, service and urban development advantages according to the master plan for the city’s socio-economic development and the local housing development plan during the 2021-2025 period.

Moreover, the project provides a direct view of the Han River and is surrounded by key public works where major cultural events in the city are regularly held such as the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Dragon Bridge, the APEC Sculpture Park, and the Bach Dang walking street. Therefore, the implementation and completion of the project promises to bring to Da Nang a quality and iconic architectural work in the area, creating an attractive environment for all subjects with needs for housing, business, working and investment.

Mr. Ho Ky Minh asked the Cosmos Housing JSC to mobilise maximum resources to ensure quality and committed progress of the project; as well as comply with the provisions of the law on planning, land, investment, construction, environmental protection and relevant legal provisions.

Consulting units and contractors should strictly comply with construction standards and regulations, and guarantee labor safety and environmental sanitation, he added.

Authorities in Hai Chau District were requested to create all favourable conditions for investors to speed up construction progress; and regularly monitor, inspect, and promptly support investors in resolving problems arising during the implementation of the project.

Vice Chairman Minh pledged that the city will continue to accompany and support investors throughout the construction process so as to bring benefits to investors, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Hai Chau District in particular and Da Nang in general.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Morii Takayuki, General Director of the Cosmos Housing JSC, said that during the preparation of the project’s investment procedures, the investor and the design unit have carefully designed the Da Nang Landmark Tower to deserve to be a highlight and iconic architecture of the city.

Notably, the project will also be a symbol of safety in natural disasters and fire prevention and fighting as it is designed to withstand earthquakes of 7 on the Richter scale, and its glass walls are designed to withstand level 18 storms. Also, it will apply the newest and highest fire prevention and fighting design standards in Viet Nam.

“The project is expected to be built within 33 months. After 33 months of construction, we will hold a completion ceremony for the building that is worthy of its name as a highlight of the city”, Mr. Morii Takayuki emphasised.
