More than 55 domestic and international speakers from leading units in the hospitality industry are attending in the Exhibition & Forum on Technology, Innovation in the Hospitality Industry, HORECFEX Viet Nam 2024, in Da Nang on September 23-24.

In his opening speech at the event on Monday, Permanent Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that in the context of Viet Nam’s tourism industry seeing robust growth, Da Nang has been emerging as one of the favourite destinations for both international and domestic tourists.

The tourism boom has pushed the hotel, restaurant and service industries in the city to constantly improve quality and apply advanced technologies to enhance the experience for visitors. However, he stressed the necessity of close cooperation from many sides so as to fully tap the potential and create sustainable values.

Vice Chairman Minh highlighted that the HORECFEX Vietnam 2024 was a great opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and explore breakthrough solutions in the hospitality industry.

He hoped that the information and innovative ideas shared at the event will be the driving force for tourism businesses, especially those operating in Da Nang, to promote their sustainable development.

At the same time, the event will open up many cooperation opportunities, helping resorts and restaurants in Viet Nam to always keep up with the changes of the world, together contributing to the overall development of Viet Nam's tourism industry in the coming time, the city leader emphasised.

According to Mrs. Do Thi Hong Xoan who is Vice President of the Viet Nam Tourism Association cum President of the Viet Nam Hotel Association, with 64 years of formation and development, Viet Nam is named among top 10 countries with the most developed tourism industry in the world by the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

Viet Nam has up to 38,000 accommodation establishments, so the need for advanced technology to develop in the integration period is extremely important.

HORECFEX Vietnam 2024 is the first and largest event on tourism technology held in Da Nang. It promises to update the latest technological solutions from reputable experts and speakers in the operation of hotels, restaurants, and food service establishments, thereby helping tourism service providers develop and improving the overall travel experience of visitors in Viet Nam.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Vice President of the Viet Nam Hotel Association and the Founder of HORECFEX Viet Nam, Da Nang is not only the centre of domestic and international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) events, and an ideal resort destination for tourists. Through this event, the organisers hope to contribute to building Da Nang into a centre for sharing the focus of leaders and in-depth training in the hospitality industry.

The two-day event, co-organised by the Viet Nam Hotel Association and the Ariyana Convention Centre Da Nang, features around 50 booths introducing new technology and digital transformation in the hospitality industry. Also, there are 9 seminars with nearly 40 presentations and discussions on applying new technology, digital transformation, and hotel operations management in the new era.

HORECFEX Viet Nam 2024 is an annual event that promotes innovation and growth for the HORECA (hotels, restaurants and catering) business community.

This event helps connect hospitality businesses and technology providers to foster innovation and growth as well as introduces cutting-edge solutions for the Vietnamese hospitality industry.

It also provides opportunities for businesses in the hospitality sector to share experience in improving service quality and operational management.
