A ceremony was held in Da Nang on Friday to honour 15 individuals who are outstanding leaders in the career of digital transformation, information technology and information security.

As part of the 19^th edition of the Viet Nam Digital Government Summit 2024 in Da Nang, the event was jointly organized by the International Data Group in Viet Nam, the Viet Nam Digital Communications Association, and related units.

This year’s award is divided into three categories. The first category is outstanding digital transformation leaders; the second category is outstanding information technology leaders; and the third category is outstanding information security leaders.

In the category of digital transformation leaders, 3 individuals in the organizing committee, 10 information technology leaders, and 2 information security leaders were honoured.

Specifically, in the first category, the Award for Digital Transformation Leaders in a State agency in 2024 was given to Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung, former Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union, and Colonel Quach Huu Trung from the Hospital No. 199 under the Ministry of Public Security.

Meanwhile, 10 exemplary information technology leaders in the enterprise sector were Mr. Ngo Xuan Bang, Director of Information Systems cum Director of Information Technology of the Seedcom JSC and the New Retail CPG JSC; Mr. Nguyen Danh Doan, Director of Information Technology of Marico Southeast Asia Company Limited; Mr. Tran Ba ​​Khang, Director of Information Technology of the Viva Star International JSC; Mr. Le Nguyen Hoang Minh, Director of Technology Department of Phat Dat Holdings Company Limited; and Mr. Nguyen Huy Phu, Director of Information Technology, Hyosung Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of Information Technology, Saigon Newport Corporation; and Mr. Tran Phu Nghia, Director of Information Technology, Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank; were honoured with the 2024 outstanding information security award.

In the context of digital transformation playing a key role in comprehensive economic development, the initiative to organize and honour outstanding leaders in digital transformation, information technology, and information security every year is a source of encouragement and motivation to contribute more to the digital transformation in the new era.
