On Friday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang and Permanent Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh visited and congratulated a number of city-based businesses to mark the Viet Nam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13).

At the Vinseed Biotechnology Co. Ltd., Secretary Quang highly appreciated the company for its remarkable achievements over the past time. He also lauded the great efforts made by the company in accompanying and concretising the city's policies on innovative startups, thereby making an important contribution to spreading and creating an ecosystem not only for the city but also for the whole region. This was a concrete proof, from scientific research to product commercialization, through which the business has affirmed its brand, he emphasised.

He spoke highly of young people for their new and special approach to startups, especially the important role of Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, who graduated with a doctoral degree in Biotechnology in Germany and co-founded with Nguyen Thien Khiem, with the desire to create valuable medicinal products to improve the quality of life of Vietnamese people.

The city leader said that the city has had policies and strategies to support businesses, so that local enterprises can operate and produce with peace of mind. He also took the opportunity to request functional sectors to continue accompanying businesses, especially startups.

At the meeting, he directed relevant departments and agencies to assist businesses with accessing land in industrial parks, and loans from the city's investment funds in order to expand production and business.

In addition, the Secretary of the City Party Committee also requested businesses to promote the development of party members, establish Party cells of businesses.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Director of Vinseed Biotechnology Co.Ltd., the company's production and business area has been developed to 600m² from a 30m² bedroom. The area features a system of cordyceps cultivation rooms, modern production machinery, and nearly 30 product codes.

The company has actively got involved in the city’s innovation and startup movement. It won the first prize in the SURF Da Nang 2022 competition with the model "Household-scale cordyceps growing cabinet". The model helps people access Cordyceps products easily at low cost, creating additional income for people with an investment cost of only VND 18 million/cabinet. This creates a production and business chain between Vinseed and customers and meets the orientation of developing high-tech agriculture and urban agriculture according to Resolution No. 104/2017/NQ-HDND dated July 7, 2017 of the municipal People's Council and the whole country.

The company has now researched and developed more than 15 products. These products are being developed by using local raw materials, exploiting indigenous factors and linking with production facilities in Da Nang and opening raw material growing areas in Cam Le and Hoa Vang districts.

During his visit to the ICT Vina Co., Ltd. (Dentium) at the Da Nang High-Tech Park, Secretary Quang acknowledged and highly praised the company's investment in Viet Nam in general and Da Nang in particular since 2018.

He affirmed that the city's leaders always offered the best possible facilitation to the company to develop its projects in the hotel and office fields. Da Nang will be one of the factors helping the company achieve the 3^rd position in the world in the field of dentistry.

Mr. Quang also welcomed the company's energy battery project because this is a trend as well as in line with the city's investment attraction orientation.

He also urged the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and local industrial parks to accompany, support, and connect with enterprises that need green energy sources to invest in the city because many businesses involving semiconductors and artificial intelligence are in great need of clean and stable energy sources.

The ICT Vina Co., Ltd. conducts research and combines clinics with engineering in the field of dental medicine. The company's products include the entire process, from diagnosis, treatment to providing products related to dental implants.

In Da Nang, there is currently the ICT Vina 1 factory established in June 2018 with 121 employees. The ICT Vina 2 factory project is under construction, expected to be put into operation in early 2025.

The company will invest in a energy battery production factory next to the ICT Vina 2 factory on an area of 7.8 hectares which is expected to start construction in February 2025.

When meeting with leaders of the Saigon - Da Nang Investment JSC, Mr. Quang spoke highly of the company for its great contributions to the city's development.

Currently, the city is developing the Free Trade Zone project to submit to the Central Government for approval, so the city leader hoped that investors will invest in infrastructure in 3 sub-zones: production, logistics and trade - services.

He also voiced his hope that the company will continue to accompany the city during its progress, especially towards turning Da Nang into the green industrial centre of the country.

Mr. Mai Cong Ho, General Director of the Saigon-Da Nang Investment JSC, said that his company has 4 urban areas with a total planning area of ​​128.4 hectares.

In addition, the company has 2 industrial parks that have attracted nearly US$ 850 million in foreign investment capital (FDI) and VND 20 trillion in domestic investment capital, creating jobs for nearly 10,000 workers. It has built many urban areas to create accommodation for tens of thousands of people, including 3,358 social housing units.
