A wide range of exciting activities and events were organised across Da Nang in response to National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) on Wednesday.

The 2024 Digital Transformation Festival in Hai Chau District, which has "Taking advantage of opportunities and creativity for development" as its theme, has the participation of many outstanding units and businesses in digital transformation.

These activities and events aimed to promote the application of digital technology and raise digital awareness among units, businesses and people.

Specifically, the Digital Transformation Festival 2024 themed "Taking advantage of opportunities and innovation for development" took place in Hai Chau District. Its purpose was to promote the application of digital technology, and raise public awareness and create opportunities for cooperation between units and businesses in the digital transformation field.

Through the festival, authorities in Hai Chau District hoped to bring digital transformation closer to people from all walks of life, including leaders, businesses, students, pupils and local people.

IThe event attracted prominent digital transformation enterprises in the district such as the FiveSS Technology JSC, the Da Nang branch of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the municipal branch of the Military-run telecommunications company (Viettel Group), and the Note AR JSC which displayed, introduced and promoted digital products, applications and services to each cadre, civil servant and citizen in the district.

At the same time, the festival provided a good chance for participating businesses and units to strengthen and promote cooperation towards building and developing a digital ecosystem and smart city.

Virtual reality technology solutions bring exciting experiences to guests and people participating in the festival.

The main activities at the festival included the opening ceremony of the Digital Transformation Festival, the forum "connecting and promoting digital economic development", and booths displaying digital products. Also, there were the golden bell ringing contest to learn about online public services and digital transformation, and thematic activities on digital society.

Also on the same day, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District organised a conference on "Connecting digital transformation between the government, businesses and the community", aimed at guiding businesses and people on digital skills, exploiting digital applications and platforms, professionalising management and operation, improving the quality of service to people, and enhancing interaction between people and the government.

During the event, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District and Viettel Da Nang entered into a cooperation agreement on developing digital government and expanding access and exploitation of digital infrastructure for people.

Lien Chieu District People's Committee and Viettel Da Nang signed a comprehensive agreement on digital transformation cooperation, marking the first time the two sides have cooperated in this field.

Under the deal, Viettel Da Nang will support the development and implementation of the Digital Transformation Project in Lien Chieu District during the 2024-2026 period and orientation to 2030 with the pillars: digital government, digital economy and digital society according to development orientations suitable for the locality.

Also, the focus will be deploying technical infrastructure at the People's Committees of wards, as well as installing free Wi-Fi systems at cultural and community houses, and traffic surveillance camera systems across the district.

On the occasion, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District launched the "Community Digital Transformation" youth volunteer team to promote the role of youth in developing 3 categories: digital economy, digital society and digital government.

Regarding the goal of digital citizens and digital society, the district will deploy digital signatures for 100% of people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, and electronic receipts for public services. It will standardise mobile subscriber information and upgrade mobile subscribers from 2G, 3G to 4G/5G technology; provide utility and welfare services for poor and near-poor households according to national standards; and promote e-commerce, shopping, online payment, cashless payment, and 5G mobile service coverage.

Regarding digital government, Lien Chieu District aims to manage and monitor the implementation of tasks and the results of content via digital platforms; manage digitalized documents; equip smart camera management and image/video analysis systems; install smart speakers; apply virtual assistant software in carrying out construction and land licensing procedures; cloud data storage; and pilot EDOC document management system for schools.
