In early September, work began on The Ponte project on Tran Hung Dao Street. The Cu Lao Cham Tourism and Investment Trading JSC and the Unicons Construction Investment Company Limited are respectively the developer and contractor of the 26-storey project with the total floor area of over 59,000m2.
Meanwhile, the Olalani Riverside Tower project on Tran Hung Dao Street, featuring three towers with 24-30 storeys each, and 1,300 apartments in total, is also under construction.
The construction of foundation structure and basement floor B2 of the TTC Plaza Da Nang Complex project at the corner of Dien Bien Phu, Hai Phong and Vo Van Tan streets has been already completed. With a total floor area of over 30,000m2, the project features 2 basements, and 18 floors including 4 floors of the podium for a commercial centre, a hotel and tourist apartment tower, an office area for rent.
The contractor is completing the construction of the basement and speeding up the building of the main structure to ensure the progress of handing over the 4 floors of the podium to the Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd. to lease the total premises for the opening of the Aeon Mall Commercial Center.
Similarly, the building of the basement of the Estuary, a commercial centre and luxury apartment complex project, adjacent to the road leading to the Tien Son Bridge has been basically completed.
The 2-basement-plus 25-storey FPT Plaza 3 Apartment project in the FPT Technology Urban Area, and the Asiana Danang Luxury Apartment Project, are under construction.
A number of large projects are undergoing environmental impact assessment procedures to start construction in the coming time, such as Viettel Building at a total estimated investment of VND 1,279 billion, and the Thuan Phuoc Bay Urban Area at nearly VND 11,500 billion.
Since the beginning of 2024, the municipal Department of Construction has appraised and granted new construction permits or adjusted permits for more than 30 projects with a total investment of more than VND 20,000 billion.
According to Director of the municipal Department of Construction Phung Phu Phong, the fact that many projects are under active construction is not only the effort of investors, but also the result of the process of removing obstacles and difficulties, supporting and creating conditions for investors to complete related procedures to start construction. This also shows the improvement in the socio-economic picture of the city.
In the coming time, the city will witness a boom in many more high-rise buildings. Notably, the city will make its efforts to help investors overcome obstacles and difficulties to speed up the construction progress.
