Da Nang's Hoa Vang District signs cooperation agreement with South Korea's Bonghwa District

Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District, on Friday, signed a letter of intent on promoting the establishment of friendly and cooperative relations with Bonghwa District in Gyeongsangbuk Province, South Korea.

Accordingly, the two sides agreed to promote the establishment of the friendly and cooperative relations on the principles of voluntariness, equality, and compliance with the laws of each country, as well as  jointly promote development and cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, arts, sports, tourism, agriculture and education. The two sides will facilitate the exchange of delegations at all levels and actively encourage cooperation between relevant agencies and civil organisations.

On the occasion, the two localities signed a cooperation agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers with the aim of supporting each other in economic fields and promoting cooperation programmes on technical and human resource exchange in the agricultural sector. In particular, the focus was on sending labourers from Hoa Vang District to work seasonally in Bonghwa District.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of Hoa Vang District People's Committee Phan Van Ton emphasised that the signing ceremony was an important basis for Hoa Vang District and Bonghwa District to promote common development through exchange and cooperation activities.

At the same time, he believed that after the signing ceremony, Hoa Vang District and Bonghwa District will concentrate on immediately implementing the seasonal labour export programme in 2025 to concretise the cooperation determination of the leaders of the two localities.

According to Bonghwa District Chief Park Hyun Gook, the cooperation between the two localities will contribute to developing the cooperative relationship between Bonghwa and Hoa Vang in particular and between Viet Nam and South Korea in general. Thereby, it is hoped that the two localities will well implement the signed contents, promoting the local socio-economic development.
