Da Nang was granted the Viet Nam Smart City Award 2024 for the fifth consecutive time, announced by the Viet Nam Software and IT Services Association (Vinasa) at a ceremony held in Ha Noi on Tuesday.

The ceremony was within the framework of the Viet Nam - Asia Smart City Conference 2024.

According to the organisers, this was a prestigious and unique award for a group of cities/urban areas in Viet Nam. This is the 5^th consecutive time Da Nang has received this award and is also the only locality to secure the top ranking of Viet Nam Smart City since this activity was organised.

Aside from the Viet Nam Smart City Award 2024, Da Nang was honoured with 3 thematic awards: Smart Management and Operation; Attractive Innovation City; and Smart, Green, Clean Environmental Management City.

The Viet Nam - Asia Smart City Conference 2024 with the theme 'Smart City - Digital Economy - Sustainable Development' was associated with 3 strategic goals of digital economy, digital society, digital government.

Moreover, the conference was an opportunity for leaders, experts, and leading digital technology enterprises to discuss and build breakthrough solutions in such spheres as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, smart transportation, clean energy, and sustainable environment.
