The central and highlands regional final round of qualifying for the 2013 Sao Mai (Morning Star) national television singing contest is being held at the Da Nang-based Viet Nam Television Station from 9 - 11 July.

The event sees the participation of 37 finalists, 4 of whom are ethnic minority people.  They are required to sing 3 songs in genres of chamber, folk and light music with a total of 74 items.

During 3 days of competition, the 9 best contestants will be selected for the final round of the Sao Mai television singing contest, which is expected to take place in Ha Noi in August.
